About Tranzit Coachlines

75 Years Celebration for Tranzit

Tranzit Coachlines has been providing passenger transport services in the form of route services, charters and tours since 1924.

The company was founded by Albert Snelgrove in 1924 with a service from Carterton to Masterton. The Company Directors (two of which are Albert’s grandchildren) between them have over 120 years experience in the Coach Industry. All four shareholders of the Company are in senior active management positions.

In 1985 the company changed its name from Blue Bus Services to Tranzit Coachlines. The company has expanded and it is now one of the largest privately owned and family run, coach companies in New Zealand. We have depots in Masterton, Wellington, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Stratford, New Plymouth, Auckland and partnerships with InterCity Coachlines, Newmans Coachlines, Pacific Tourways, Magic Travellers Network and Tourmasters South Pacific (NZ). Currently we employ around 600 staff and have over 400 vehicles. This gives us the flexibility to meet all requirements however big or small, right through out New Zealand.

Tranzit is dedicated to providing a high quality service to its customers and has the experience and expertise to achieve this. With regular training in people skills, advanced driver skills, mechanical competency and first aid, Tranzit has some of the best people in the industry, working for them.

Tranzit Coachlines is committed to exceeding all your expectations with our friendly, professional staff and superior coaches.
