Tranzit Coachlines is one of the largest privately owned and family run coach companies in New Zealand.
The company was founded in 1924 by Albert Snelgrove with a service from Carterton to Masterton.
It was not until 1985 the company changed its name from Blue Bus Services to Tranzit Coachlines.
Today, Tranzit Coachlines employs around 450 staff and operate over 400 vehicles. This gives us the flexibility to meet all requirements however big or small, right throughout New Zealand.
Tranzit is run by two of Albert Snelgrove’s grandsons, it is in its 4th generation and six of the seven directors are family members.
We have depots in Auckland, Wellington, Palmerston North, Wanganui, Stratford, New Plymouth with our head office remaining in Masterton. We also operate ten workshops through the North Island and have the equipment and staff available to service our entire fleet over 400 vehicles.
Tranzit Group also owns Pacific Tourways Auckland Ltd, Cross Country Rentals 2010 Ltd and is a major shareholder in both InterCity Group NZ Ltd and Tourmasters South Pacific incorporating the multi New Zealand Tourism Award winning Magic Travellers Network.
